The winds of change are blowing in the business world, the effect of which is becoming clearly visible for all to see and the subsequent aftermath will make India stand at a pedestal stamping its authority for it has truly arrived. This success is long overdue as India has been a nation that has overcome great odds to reach the pinnacle of success it has today. A phase in the 90’s saw economical reforms that were introduced and these reforms have been a stepping stone for the transformation that India has seen over the years. India has been a land historically rich in culture & spirituality, the arrival of globalisation has enabled her to make inroads into uncharted territories. From mutually benefitting Mergers & Joint Ventures to strategically planned out Acquisitions of Global companies the transformation is underway! We at Marcom felt that it would only be right for these companies to be given the limelight that they truly deserve. Brands and their subsequent acceptability and recollect amongst the consumers are the hallmarks of successful companies and in turn a robust economy. India can now truly boast of such brands on the global scale where the power of these brands can have a straddling effect on the global market as they have been able to overcome the fleeting attention and the volatile loyalty of consumers across the world and have more often than not established a cult like following.

We at Marcom backed by a sense of pride and patriotism felt it was our duty to do our bit and so we decided to give these companies that are now shaping the contours of the world economy a platform to show case their success story and what better place to do it than London, the melting pot of it all! So we present to you The ‘Indian PowerBrands’, a research driven anthology of India’s Most Powerful Companies. This book is a unique initiative exemplifying the Indian- born icons that have emanated the Ultimate Benchmark of Achievement & Success and are effectively re-writing the global business equations. The ideology of the project is to bring into spotlight India’s most prolific, successful and emerging companies in order to augment their international brand identity, credibility, stability & sustainability.
